Autumn is officially in the air and as the days become shorter, we’re ready to welcome in the cosiness of the season. Whether it’s rediscovering Sunday roasts, long walks on crunchy red and burnt orange leaves, or the smokiness of log fires burning once again, there is a lot to love about this time of year!
October also means harvest time for some of our favourite fruit and vegetables. Vibrant beetroot, pumpkins and leafy veggies like cauliflower, broccoli and kale all come into their own during this season, as well as some of our favourite fruity staples like pears and quince. You can discover many of these seasonal favourites and more, grown and sold at your local farm shop around the Chilterns.
And of course, our Apple Crumble Granola takes its inspiration from the humble apple, harvested at this time each year. Crumble has got to be one of the simplest, yet most popular desserts and it is the perfect antidote to the cooler temperatures and longer nights making their way to us over the next few weeks.
Our Apple Crumble Granola is a spicy, comforting treat for those dessert-lovers in the family. With tangy apples, syrupy raisins, gooey honey and nutty pumpkin seeds, it’s just like an apple crumble in a brekkie bowl.
With warming cinnamon flavours, our Apple Crumble Granola is a bowl of pure comfort in the morning – simply add your choice of milk or Greek yogurt for a delish start to the day. Better still, why not try sprinkling some granola over some cooked apples from this season’s harvest for a truly indulgent take on the traditional apple crumble dessert? It’s sure to keep everyone’s tastebuds…Appy’!
